An Introduction

Hello everyone and Happy New Year! I thought January 1st would be the perfect day to start publishing on my blog. A new beginning for all of us.

My name is Samantha. I wanted to start this journey into 2024 with an introductory post. I want you as the reader, whether you are a potential client, a fellow photog, or just someone interested and wanting to learn about the world of photography to be able to get to know me.

I am primarily a wedding photographer, which for me also includes, engagement photos, elopements, bridal shoots, and the occasional boudoir session. However, I also photograph family, maternity, and senior portraits as well. In fact, aside from weddings, senior photography is probably my favorite.

When and if I ever get the chance, I would love to delve more into equestrian photography. I haven’t gotten the chance yet, and right now I don’t have the time to explore and perfect that area of photography, but it is one of my artistic goals.

Speaking of goals, I have so many for 2024, but my big one to accomplish this year is to photograph a destination wedding. I would love to shoot somewhere romantic like Italy or Scotland, but I also would love to capture a wedding in a place that is full of color, or maybe somewhere that has very sharp and demanding architecture.

When I’m not behind a camera, I am with my two little ones. They mean everything to me and are part of the reason I pushed myself into this career path.
